The MxRegister portal was designed by us and uses ASP.net and has a web services interface so that PatientNOW can communicate with it to send and receive information. In addition we have used many third party components in this application including DevExpress for reports and charting, Infragistics for Office 2007 look and feel, Pegasus Imaging libraries for scanning, image and photo display, TE Edit Control, RapidSpell, XShow40, Audio DJ Studio, GoldFax, Adobe PDF plug-in and others. There are also various Windows services dealing with automatic document importing from Transcription services and HL7 messaging and other messaging to interface to third party applications. The HL7 and DICOM routines we developed from scratch to help save the client royalties. We also developed an Outlook plug-in for synchronization of calendar data and the ability to save incoming emails into PatientNOW assigned to patient as well as an Outlook .msg viewer that does not require Outlook to be installed so all workstations can view those messages.
